MA ROAD TRIP 2014- AUNT BETTY

We were all happy to get to visit aunt Betty (and Joanne) this time. all of us were in agreement that she looked great and despite her ailments, she keeps a positive attitude.  Mom had that, too and it is sooo good to see and just makes us love them more. Aunt Betty took the time to make us a cookbook which we are sure to cherish in the years ahead.

MA ROAD TRIP 2014-LYNN/SWAMPSCOTT/NAHANT

First stop on the beach...Dunkin Donuts for coffee!! Here we found a great view of Boston from the Northshore prospective! As we traveled a little way up the coastline to Swampscott, we were hoping to sunbath for a bit, but, Kings Beach was closed, so we captured a couple of shots and drove on.

MA ROAD TRIP 2014-NEWBURYPORT

This is the place that Boudy has been trying to show us but, every time we go, it's closed.  Guess what, not today! But, we were a little bit early so we took a stroll downtown Newburyport first. We ate lunch at the Purple Onion, again.  I would recommend this little eatery if you are in the area and looking for a quick, healthy lunch. After, we returned to the barn and started a trip down memory lane. There were so many items from our past. Many from our teen years and we wondered if this was where our stuff from Adams Ave ended up! The space is massive.  We spent a few fun hours in there. But, in the end, walked away purchasing only a tiny Barbie comb.

SALEM, MA

the Friendship

The Ship in Lynnfield

We started our day checking out the shops in Salem. Docked along the wharf is the Friendship. Next, we looked in a few antique shops in Beverly. We ended up at Northshore Mall and enjoyed a (very hot) Wasabi chicken wrap for lunch and a little shopping. Later, we eat dinner at the Ship in Lynnfield.  this trip is all about ships, it seems!
